We built the gym we couldn't find.
Somewhere between the big-box gym and the hardcore warehouse there's a better way to train. IRONHOUSE is our answer.
It started in a garage.
After a decade coaching in commercial gyms, our founder kept seeing the same thing: motivated people paying for access, getting no guidance, and quitting by March.
In 2017 he opened a tiny garage gym with one rule — nobody trains without a plan and a coach. The waiting list grew faster than the floor space.

2017
Marcus Reid opens a 2,000 sq ft garage gym with four racks and twelve members.
2019
Small-group coaching launches. The six-person cap is born — and never changes.
2021
Move to 220 Forge Street: 12,000 sq ft, turf lane, studio and recovery room.
Today
640+ members, three head coaches and one standard for every session.
To make expert coaching the normal way to train — so every member leaves stronger, more capable and more confident than they came in.
Coaching over access
A membership should buy you expertise, not just a key fob. Every session has a coach and a plan.
Honest progress
We measure what matters and tell you the truth about it. No gimmicks, no miracle claims.
Strength for life
We train for the next forty years, not the next four weeks. Joints, habits and enjoyment included.
No ego, all effort
First-timers and national athletes share the floor. Respect is the only membership requirement.
Simple. Progressive. Measured.
We believe in a small number of movements done very well, loaded progressively over time. Strength first, conditioning on top, mobility throughout.
Every twelve weeks we test, review and rewrite. If something isn't working, the data tells us — and we change it.
Coaches on the floor.
Our coaches are certified, continuously educated and paid to coach — not to sell. They are on the floor for every class, correcting, cueing and adjusting.
Six people per coach in strength sessions isn't a marketing number. It's the maximum where real coaching still happens.

Stronger together.
Testing days with the whole club cheering. Saturday partner sessions. A members' charity lift every December. People come for the training and stay for each other.
